    I felt it! For me it last anywhere between 5-10 seconds. But the sound, I'll never forget that sound...a loud deep rumbling, so scary!

    We live in Southampton near SAL - at first we thought something was going on down at SAL, but soon realized that the rumbling sound and house shaking was indeed an earthquake. We experienced this back in 1988 and 1996. Won't EVER forget it!

    took a photo of beach fort st catherine bermuda photo showed circle ripples in water we saw beachgoers scrambling to move away from encroaching water sent photo to bio station
